Coronavirus Safe Space

At the start of the year, we asked the question, why are we here? It's crucial to know "why" we are doing things in order to accept them, understand them and hopefully abide by them. Above are the facts about the disease and the reasons why we are taking precautions.  Please read it and discuss the following. I want you to feel free to speak about your experience with what's happening today.
  • How are you feeling?
  • How has your daily routine been disrupted?
  • How has your family been impacted?
  • How are you taking care of yourself?
Share with us a little about what this experience has been like for you.

  2. I feel a little stressed to be honest. My daily routine has been disrupted because now I'm not allowed to go anywhere and I just started to gain some freedom...well now that's gone for a while, so my days have been really boring. My mom has been very protective but it gets annoying when that's the only thing she talks about now. I just wash my hands like i normally do and I'm more aware of my surroundings.

  3. I feel fine but I'm just even more anxious and cautious when I do things or touch something. My daily routine has been disrupted since I can't go outside at all and staying home is boring. My family is anxious as well and they're being more protective and not touching objects with their bare hands. I'm taking care of myself by washing my hands almost every minute and being careful of what I touch and eat.

Before I woke up an hour earlier to go to school instead now and just get up and turn on the computer, besides that before I walked more and came home later now I don't even leave the house
    How was your family impacted?
my father and my mother stopped working a little and my brother doesn't study so much before we left every weekend now we live at home and only go out if necessary
How are you taking care of yourself?
washing my hands daily, not leaving much of the house and always taking an alcohol gel with me, greet people at a distance and pay more attention every time I leave not touching my face

  6. I have been feeling very upset because of this coronavirus situation. My birthday was 3 days ago and because of the coronavirus, everything started to close down. I was supposed to go to a concert, but it got postponed to july 10th. I couldn't go out to eat if I wanted to as well, but I'm grateful enough to have a cake at least. But, other than that it sucks being stuck in your house for month and some change. My daily routine has been normal as if I were to come home from school just a little earlier. My family has been stressed over food and working. You know its a whole month off for my mother because she works with kids so yeah. Also with food, most things are out of stock because of everyone buying everything all at once. I've been taking care of myself pretty well. I've been having more time for myself and to help out around the house.

  9. How are you feeling? I am feeling scared about the whole situation because everywhere you go you hear new things about the corona virus that is usually no good.
How has your daily routine been disrupted? Yes, it has been disrupted because now I don't go to school. Now that I don't have school for a month, I am pretty upset that I don't have school. I miss going to school because I miss interacting with my friends and teachers. Now I can only talk to them through a screen which is not the same as talking in person.
How has your family been impacted? My family has been impacted by avoiding being outside, and by trying to stock up on food.
How are you taking care of yourself? I am taking care of myself by trying to do new things such as sewing.

I am feeling fine and and I I am completely calm about the whole situation. My mom said to be calm and keep on praying that every thong gets better.
How has your daily routine been disrupted?
My daily routine has not really been disrupted because I am used to staying in my house and the only thing that has changed is me washing my hands more.
How has your family been impacted?
My family is trying many ways to remain healthy like eating more fruits and taking more vitamin c. They are also trying to keep their distance away from my grandmother since her immune system is not up to par.
How are you taking care of yourself?
I wash my hands every chance I have and I always wipe my phone with an Clorox wipe to clean off the Bactria. I also eat a lot of fruits with vitamin c in it so I can build up my immune system. Although it is sad, I also try to keep a distance from my family members when they come from the outside.

  14. During this chaos, I wake up for my classes at 7:30am, brush my teeth and get dressed. I have been doing more digital art on my tablet. The apps I use for this activity are procreate, ibisPaint X, MediBang, and finally sketch draw. Drawing increases dopamine in the brain. Drawing also relieves stress. I also watch some funny shows on the CW app which give my brain endorphins.

  17. How are you feeling? I feel very upset that things are this way. I feel very annoyed that this happened, and this gives me more of a sense of understanding how life is very unpredictable and sadly nothing is perfect. My daily routine has been disrupted because I can't go outside, can't go to school, I'm sitting home praying for everyday to go by quicker. My family has been impacted because my parents can't go to work. They can't live their lives or do fun things until this pandemic calms down at least a little. My parents and whole family are all very upset that this pandemic is spreading like crazy. I'm taking care of myself by washing my hands more and if I were to go outside, I would wear gloves and a mask. I never thought masks were helpful, I never agreed or understood the point of why people wear masks, but in this type of matter, I think the safest thing possible is to wear gloves and a mask.

  18. i am feeling a little sad at this point. my daily routine has been disrupted because my body isnt used to all this like im used to waking up getting ready to leave my house and take a long bus or car ride to school now i just wake up and get ready but to sit and look at the lap top all day. my family has been really badly impacted because my mom works in the hospital and now she has to stay there for the week and come home one day over the weekend get her bags ready and leave. my dad i dont see him i havent seen in over 3 weeks now maybe more. i have been taking care of myself by keeping active and thinking that soon this will all be over and maybe everything can go back to normal and that we can put this all behind us and kinda forget all about it.

  19. how are you feeling ?
i am feeling sad because i am not able to leave my house & not able to interact with anyone face to face except my parents . i haven't really been scared about the virus until now because it has spread so much in nyc and more people are dying . but i feel that if we listen to what is being told , like the social distancing and washing hands thoroughly and being cautious that we can get through this quicker but only if people listen. i can wait for it to go back to normal , this is a horrible lifestyle . i would really like to go outside and enjoy the weather and get fresh air but sadly i have to wait until all of this is over

  20. I am feeling kind of strange because of how weird it is right now. My daily routine has been interrupted because I cannot leave the house to go anywhere. My family has been impacted as well because all of the schools have closed, as well as my parents work. I am taking care of myself by staying home.
