The
great thing about blogs is that they can be about anything and it is a
fresh perspective from outside the mainstream. Do you love to travel?
Start a travel blog and it becomes your unique view on the topic. For
this post I want you to pretend this is your blog. Write a post about a
recent experience you had with something you have a strong opinion
about. It can be negative or positive. Your post should be 6-10
sentences at a minimum. Compare and contrast what you are writing about
with other things similar to your topic. For example: If you are writing
about a record from a particular artist, compare it to similar artists
or the artists earlier work. Same for restaurants, etc. See examples for
ideas. The key is to be passionate.

My friends and I went two different sushi places on separate days. The first sushi place, I got a mi-sou soup and spicy salmon roll. I didn't like the spicy salmon, but the mi-sou soup was really good. We also found a lot of flies on our table and the ginger. The second place I got mi-sou soup and chicken tempura. The mi-sou soup was very salty, but the shrimp tempura was good. Then I went to another sushi place and I got mi-sou soup and shrimp tempura. I enjoyed both the soup and the shrimp. I would definitely eat at my third sushi place again.
ReplyDeleteI have had a similar experience as well. One time, I went to this Japanese place near my house. I did not like that restaurant. First of all, they took forever to make my food and there were not that many people there. I ordered chicken teriyaki and a miso soup. Once my food finally came, I did not like the food. The chicken was not cooked all the way and the miso soup was also very salty.
DeleteNow I always go to a Japanese place that is also by my house. They are always quick in making the food and the food is always delicious. The chicken teriyaki is so good. The chicken is nice and a little crispy and the teriyaki sauce is just perfect. Their miso soups and sushi is also amazing and delicious.
I had the same experience with my friend for her birthday. She had her birthday at a sushi place and I also liked the soup but I hated the sushi. I just didn't like the way it tasted. But that day I found out I am not a big fan of sushi. But I would like to give it another try so thank you for recommending the shrimp tempura I will have to go and try it out.
DeleteTwo famous painters Jackson Pollock and Vincent Van Gogh have made lots of different art in their times. In my opinion Jackson Pollock's art isn't really that good and I wouldn't buy any of his work but on the other hand Vincent Van Gogh has made beautiful artwork which I would definitely buy. Also one of Vincent Van Gogh's famous and well known artwork is, The Starry Night, which is a very beautiful piece of work and I have seen many people who have this piece of art in their homes. Jackson pollock' art doesn't really even look like art but just splatters of paint on the painting and it really doesn't show much meaning to them and they just look like lazy work that he has done. So I wouldn't even buy art from Jackson Pollock but I would buy Vincent Van Gogh's art which looks very well done and lots of time and patience put into it.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that Vincent Van Gogh's art is way better than Jackson Pollock but some people have different types of artistic art and some people might find this art very interesting. Me personally there is no way. I am not trying to say that you just buying Vincent Van Gogh's art alone is mean or you just liking one type is as well but what I am trying to say is some people have different types of artistic taste and might buy it.

ReplyDeleteEngland, the land of the Queen. When I went last spring, it didn't seem so royal at first. As my family and I walked out of Heathrow airport, we were greeted with the hefty smell of cigarette smoke and when we went into the Piccadilly Circus line, we saw a large amount of strung out men lolling along the train tracks. How pleasant. It wasn't always like this, we also went to Buckingham Palace and we saw the crown jewels. I was in awe, but I sadly couldn't take any pictures of them sadly. We saw a large lot of my family members, a parliament argument, and so much more! I would love to go back! 10/10 would go again.
ReplyDeleteI have been binge watching a show called "the 100" and lately i just want to want vent to someone about how much I love the show. The problem is no one watches it. Its a sci-fiction show about how this one group of people live in the sky because the world has ended. They start to run out of oxegen 3 years before they were planning on returning to earth. So they sent out 100 prisioners in hopes that they can live on the earth again . Its such a good show because there's all these twists and turns and people saving each other. Its great. Just watch it. Its not like any other science fiction show .
ReplyDeleteThis show seems really interesting, and now I want to watch it. Science fiction isn't my favorite type of show, but I would be willing to check it out. The only other science fiction/horror show I've watched is Stranger Things, and I really liked it so I might also enjoy The 100. It seems unique and I think it could be interesting because of what you said, so I'll look into it.
DeleteOne time,me and my brother/his best friend and sister went to the movies near court street the bathrooms were super dirty and smelled like tobacco and once went in to see the movie"the nun",we sat down and everything was all peaceful til these couple came in and start yelling at each other and the guy kept yelling and threating to punch people in the face if they interfered with them and two weeks later we went to the movies again near sheep shead and we grabbed our popcorn and everything and went into the movie theater, sat down and enjoying the peace and quiet and the bathrooms were slightly more clean.
ReplyDeleteMy family and I went to see a lot of meaningful movies. The two that strikes me the most was "The Hate You Give" and "Black and Blue", they're movies that represents the struggle in black lives and how to fight against it. I felt like "The Hate You Give" is more powerful to understand instead of "Black and Blue" because it's more understandable and relate-able for others to get the purpose of the movie, but "Black and Blue" wasn't speaking to me where I can feel the pain and sorrow they did, it just showed the betraying cops around us.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be honest and say that I didn't watch the movie "The Hate You Give" but I did read the book. I agree with them representing black culture and lives because it's the truth.The book/movie is really meaningful and helps people understand more of what black people go through. I personally didn't watch "BLack and Blue", but I might watch it in the future.
DeleteI haven't seen the movie "Black and Blue", but I have seen the movie and read the book "The Hate You Give". I agree, it was a very powerful story and it had a very meaningful message. I liked how it showed Starr's interpretation of the events when she had an uncle that was a cop. I also like how the movie showed things that are happening in current times. If you really liked the movie should read the book. The book is so much better than the movie because you get to better understand the character's emotions and thoughts.

It is really touching, and I'm glad you watched that because I feel it is important for more people and especially teens to watch this touching movie. DeleteMy friend and I have two different taste in movies, so we were unable to decide on what movie to watch. I wanted to watch a horror movie and she wanted to watch a funny movie. So we decided to just watch both and see which one was better. We watched the scary movie first which was "Ma" then we watched the funny movie after to get the horror out of our minds. My friend was being a little dramatic at first when it wasn't even scary to be honest. But she ended up liking it and I ended up liking her movie, but at the end of the day i still say scary movies are better and she still says funny movies are better.. I guess we just have to agree to disagree.
ReplyDeleteRecently, I went on a few websites to look for clothes I would wear. First, I went on aliexpress to look for a shirt with an angel on it. I found it and the price was reasonable and it didn't cost too much. The website aliexpress has a lot of reasonable prices depending on what you buy and that's what I like about it. The other website I went on was forever 21. I do like many of their clothes and I've bought a few things but, my problem is really that they don't have my size most of the time, or the item of clothing that I want are sold out. Even though I don't prefer forever 21, aliexpress takes three to four months to deliver an item.

DeleteWhen shopping for clothes online I also go to forever 21. I personally like shopping at forever 21 because of the variety of styles they have, but many of the clothes tend to be overpriced so I like to look at other websites that are cheaper. I have never tried shopping at aliexpress but heard many good things about it.
DeleteEvery time I go to my Grandmothers house, I would always go to this Hispanic restaurant. They have the best foods you can ask for. The main ones my Grandma and I usually order is Mangu which is boiled plantains, fried salami, and fried cheese. We also order white rice, fried chicken, with fried plantains. I have a very strong positive opinion when it comes to that restaurant because I've been buying their food for a pretty long time now. I still go there till this day and will forever cherish it. I recommend many other people to go!

DeleteI met some new people who are not from school, and every weekend we go out, the last weekend we go out we go to a party and we meet new people, whenever we go out we get home so tired that I spend the nights at home of them, the first time we left there was no place to go anymore we got ready, and as always they took longer always had more things to do as we got dressed we danced, sang, ate and made photos and videos. My friends once went shopping in a store called forever 21 this day was very funny, and at the same time very good we talked we bought clothes and we met more, this day we made friends with more people and also laughed too much, watched movies, We played cards, danced and sang it was a different day. It had been a while since I had such fun. I need another day like this
ReplyDeleteMy favorite travel experience is when I went to Italy during the spring break. I went to Rome and Florence and had a great experience. In Rome, I went to the Coliseum and to the famous fountain "Fontana di Trevi". Then I went to Florence and I saw the beautiful churches and I really had a great time. Another place I had a great travel experience is when I went to England last summer. I love England because I love the royal family especially Kate Middleton. My favorite place I went to in England was Windsor Castle where the queen lives. I also really liked Westminster Abbey which is a church where lots of royal family members got/get married.
ReplyDeleteOne day I decided to go to a American and Chinese restaurants. I went to a typical american restaurant like Red Lobster for some food and to see what it is like. I mostly saw things that represented America like the flag and they served typical american food. Then I went to a Chinese restaurant Like Panda Express And it was a lot more different than Red Lobster It mostly contained Chinese stuff like the Chinese flag and they served Chinese food which I wasn't surprise by but it is good now and then to try a different cultures food and now only try their food but experience their culture as well.

DeleteI have often eaten foods from different cultures to try, and as most restaurants make food only from one place I go to see if I get bored, as Chinese, Japanese and American food are totally different. Japanese has sushi that many people love. I love Brazilian food that is food from my culture, very different from American food.
A few years ago, I went to New Orleans with my mom because we were attending my mom's bosses daughter's wedding. She knew them for a long time and she has a really close relationship with them. A day before the wedding, there was a party inside this beautiful building with an outside area with a fountain. The food there was delicious even though I don't remember what I ate. When the party was over, my mom and saw the second line, which is a brass band parade. The next day, we went to the wedding which was located inside a huge hotel we were staying in. The service was nice and there was a big party after the ceremony. The food was better than the one at the party the other night and I was on the dance floor dancing with the other adults that I knew. It was a really fun experience and I want to relive those past few days again.
ReplyDeleteI had the same experience when I was living in Arizona, my cousin was engaged and she was having this engagement party and it was fun.The food they had wasn't the best and it tasted really bad but other than that it was a fun experience.Then on their wedding day they held it outside in such a beautiful garden full of flowers and other pretty plants but it was very hot outside,Arizona is a very hot and dry place to live and the food they brought tasted much better than the restaurant we went to for their engagement party.But it was a really amazing experience and I wish I could live it all over again.
DeleteWhile I was in Manhattan my parents and other family members wanted to go to this Indian restaurant, but I wanted to go to this Japanese restaurant. I wanted to go the Japanese restaurant because they had more choices, and Indian food is really spicy. The Indian restaurant did not have a lot of choices of food, and it was really empty. The manager was also forcing my family to eat in the restaurant, and I don't think that shows that the restaurant is good.

For an example, for people who want to eat well,this cuisine offers an array of fresh vegetables and fruits because 80% of the people living in India practice Hinduism, a religion that promotes a vegetarian or lacto-vegetarian diet. Also you can request how much heat you want in your food (mild to very hot).
DeleteMy family and I went to Europe last year. Last year, we went to London and Paris. When we first arrived in London, it was quite cold so I had to put my jacket on. It's honestly a beautiful visit. We saw the palace and walked through some famous parks.When I went to Paris, it was warmer than London. It was honestly really pretty. I went and saw the Eiffel Tower. I also saw some famous museums. Even through its was really cold I enjoyed London more because it had more to do.
ReplyDeleteI went with my family to both London and Paris as well. I would have to agree that I enjoyed London more for there was more to do. I went to the Tower of London and saw the crown jewels, went to many palaces of the royal family, ate a lot of fish and chips, and so much more. France also had a lot to do, with the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and crepes. I was a little disappointed though, for so many people were smoking. While both places were very enjoyable (and I would 10/10 visit both again), I definitely agree that it felt as if London had more to offer.
DeleteI went to London as well, but when I was very little. I don't remember very much but I definitely remember how cold it was there. I remember wearing a few layers on my little body even though it was the middle of the summer! I've never been to Paris, however, but I am going next year. I love that you enjoyed both cities and now I know what I am going into!
DeleteTwo years ago I went to Miami, Florida to visit my family. My mother, my sister and I stayed at “The Palms Hotel & Spa.” It had a modern furniture, clean, friendly staff, easy beach access, and great food. The climate was ninety degrees celsius and rained a lot. It was a fun experience and I would love to go again. On the other hand, my mother and her friends, my sister, and I traveled to Toronto, Canada and it was the worst experience. We stayed at the “Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls.” The housekeeping really lets them down. The climate was about fifty degrees celsius and drizzled. I disliked the trip to Canada, however, I loved the trip to Miami because I got to see my family, and it was my first time being there.
ReplyDeleteI have had similar experiences traveling to new places. I go to Florida every summer. My grandfather owns a house a couple of hours away from Miami. My house is located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. I love every aspect of Florida. I love the hot weather and sunny skies. I love the beautiful scenery filled with palm trees and cacti. There is also so much to do and see here. There are many wonderful beaches, aquatic centers, parks, and so much more. There are even outstanding hotels near Port Saint Lucie. One week during August, my entire family surprised my mom and took her to the Hilton for her birthday. The hotel was amazing. The rooms were very clean and it had delicious food. The pool was also outstanding. It was very clean and had fountains spewing out of the ledges. There were even huge iguanas crawling around the pool. I had an amazing experience here. I absolutely love Florida.
DeleteEven though I have gone on many amazing vacations, I have also gone on quite a few horrible ones. One time I went to Kalahari Indoor Water Park. My stay there was amazing. We begged to stay until the water park closed, even though we had already checked out of our room. My mom agreed to stay, but she said we could not get our room back. We decided to stay at a hotel down the road. When we pulled up to the hotel, the sign was flickering. This is never a good sign. When we walked into the lobby, the place looked clean. When we got into our rooms, we were disgusted. Water was leaking from the shower, the television was broken, and there was a cheese doodle in the bed. We wanted to leave, but it was too late. We were tired and my mom wasn’t comfortable driving far in the dark. We got up very early the next morning and left. It was the worst vacation experience of my life.
I've never been to Florida before, but I did travel to the Niagara Falls. It was a nice view and I got to see what it was like under the falls. The main problem for me was that it was crowded. I'm traveling to Florida this summer and I hope it will be a nice experience for me.
DeleteI am currently in Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean. I lived here from August 2015 to July 2019. Then, I moved back to New York. My dad built a house and a swimming pool here. We went to the beach every Sunday and often had family parties. Most Saturdays, me and my friends from school would go to the movies and then for ice cream. School in Trinidad is very different from school in New York. The school that I went to here had no AC and very strict rules. Your skirt had to be three inches below your knee, your hair should be braided, and your nails had to be short. Also, everything that is being taught in school right now, I already know because I learned it in Trinidad. I miss living here, but New York is safer for me and my sister because Trinidad has a lot of crime.
ReplyDeleteOver spring break last year me and my friend visited the store Ripley's Believe it or not in Manhattan. In the store were many galleries that told me interesting facts. In one exhibit there was a sculpture of the tallest man in the world. There was another exhibit in the store called the black hole. In the exhibit, there was a long dark hallway with a step that would rotate. This was supposed to mirror the feeling of going in a black hole which I thought was pretty cool. It was really fun going to the store and I would definitely visit it again if I have the chance to.
ReplyDeleteI have also been to Ripley’s believe it or not but I went to the one in the city. I also went with my family and I saw a bunch of cool things. Like the man who has a snake tongue where it is split down the middle and he has a bunch of tattoos on his face. I also saw the women who had eyes that popped out of her head. We do have a similar experience where you walk through the black hole. When you walked through it almost felt as if you were going to fall over.
DeleteI have also been to Ripley's, but I went to the one in Ocean City. I agree that it is really cool. There are a lot of fun things to look at and play with. I remember walking through that black hole and nearly falling over.I also went to the laser race and mirror maze activities offered at the place where I went. I would recommend also trying those if you ever have a chance. The laser race was fun, and the goal is to avoid as many lasers as possible while getting the fastest time. I lost. The mirror maze was really fun too because it was hard to tell where a pathway was since the whole thing was covered with mirrors. I agree that Ripley's was super cool and would definitely go again.
DeleteA couple of months ago I watched a show on Netflix called The Good Place. Its about these people who die and go to "the good place" more commonly known as heaven but eventually they find out that their in the bad place or commonly known as hell. Then they go on a series of adventures to try and get out of the bad place and get into the good place. I do not know what happens in the end because the last season has not come out yet, but it is a really awesome show. Its really funny and once you start watching you cant stop I would re-watch it 100 times.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of spoiled the show for me but honestly I kind of had a hunch. I am still on the first season but I found it to be really funny when I started it. It was really weird too. I mean, the place really DOES seem like the stereotypical heaven but the weirdness of the situation definitely threw me for a loop. Kristen and William better get together, I say! Plus their house is so adorable and them living together in said house makes me ship them more(well, it makes me ship just about anything when I see characters in front of a house looking happy). But D'Arcy is the best out of all of them and that's that! XD
Deletewhen i went to the bahamas. i say there because the water is clear and i got to swim with animals. also i got to spend time with my dad because i dont get to see him as much as i want i only seen him 2 times a week and every other weekend so it was fun to spend time with him and i will always remember that no matter what happens
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite shows is Gilmore Girls. It is about a mother and daughter who live in a small town, and who are best friends. There are seven seasons, so it is a really good show to binge watch. I really enjoy it, and I definitely recommend it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very good show. I have also watched it and I love the moral of the show about the mother and daughter's relationship going through real life situations. And I would also recommend this show to anyone look to binge watch a new show.
Deleterecently i saw the movie 1917 it is a world 1 movie and is shows the hardships that two British soldiers had to go through in order to send a message that could save the lives of 1,600 other soldiers. it is a great move and is a great example of what the war was really like
ReplyDeleteI've been reading the book Children of Blood and Bone and it was a really good novel. The book detailed the hardships of a people and the character's efforts to overcome adversity. It is a great example of courage and doing what you can to make change. Even if it's through sacrifice and hardship.
